Tove Lo zeigt ihre düstere Seite im Kurzfilm zum neuen Album „Lady Wood“

Beyoncé hat es getan, Michael Jackson mehrfach und auch Lana Del Rey hat schonmal einen ganzen Film oder zumindest Kurzfilm zu einem Album rausgehauen. Die schwedische Popsensation Tove Lo zieht nun nach und ist alles andere als glamourös in ihrem Kurzfilm „Fairy Dust“.

Der Film enthält einige Highlights aus ihrem neuen Album „Lady Wood“, welches ich unerwartet gut und viel besser als ihr letztes Album finde. Es ist ein emotionaler Film, der Tove Lo total zerstört und düster zeigt und einige Titel des Album extrem gut integriert. Plötzlich merkt man dann auch, dass das coole Video zu „Cool Girl“ auch nur ein Teil dieses Film ist, wovon man bei der Veröffentlichung des Songs im Sommer nichts wusste. 

Der düstere Stil steht ihr gut und grenzt sie zu anderen Künstlerinnen ab. Generell hat Tove Lo sehr viel in kurzer Zeit erreicht: Platin-Erfolge, Grammy-Nominierung, 1 Milliarden Spotify Streams, Auftritte bei Jimmy Fallon, eine Tour mit Maroon 5 usw. Ihr Track „Cool Girl“ vom neuen Album hat auf Spotify mittlerweile die 111 Millionen Marke geknackt und das ist sicherlich noch nicht alles. Tove Lo arbeitet sich langsam aber sicher nach oben!
