Die Halbzeit-Show beim Superbowl sollte der Höhepunkt sein für Jennifer Lopez. In ihrer neuen Netflix-Doku „Halbzeit“ schießt sie nun gegen die NFL und ist brutal ehrlich.
Seit dem 14. Juni 2022 können wir alle einen Blick hinter die Kulissen des Superbowl Auftritts von Jennifer Lopez und Shakira werfen. Es gibt Privates von J.Lo zu sehen, Statements von Mitwirkenden und natürlich einen Rückblick auf ihre Karriere. Im Fokus stehen die Vorbereitung für die Superbowl Halftime Show 2020. Der Auftritt hat bis heute über 236.000.000 Aufrufe auf YouTube und ich hatte hier berichtet.
Eine Latina ist nicht genug?
Großes Überraschung war damals, dass J.Lo und Shakira zusammen die Show machen sollten. In Doku sieht man, dass Lopez die Idee, gemeinsam mit Shakira die Halbzeit zu teilen, als die schlechteste der Welt bezeichnet. Das liegt nicht an Unstimmigkeiten mit Shakira. Es lag eher daran, dass sie nicht wie Lady Gaga, Katy Perry oder Beyoncé, die Show alleine machen durfte. Wie wir erfahren, gab es eine heftige Auseinandersetzung zwischen Lopez und den NFL-Superbowl-Machern.
Lopez wollte als Teil ihrer Performance Kinder, inklusive ihrer eigenen Tochter, in symbolischen Käfigen zeigen. Das sollte ihre Kritik an Trumps Immigrationspolitik sein. Die Macher wollten das nicht. Lopez setzte sich durch, weil sie ihre fünf Minuten vor einem Millionen-Publikum für etwas wirklich Bedeutungsvolles nutzen wollte.
Schonungslos ehrlich
Die Doku „Halftime“ ist schonungslos ehrlich und versucht nicht Jennifer Lopez als unerreichbaren Star zu präsentieren. Vielmehr zeigt die Doku, dass selbst ein Weltstar, wie Lopez, für ihre Werte, Träume und Ziele kämpfen muss. Einzige Kritik: leider wird Shakira in der Doku sehr als Nebenprodukt der Halbzeit Show dargestellt. Da hätte ich etwas mehr Anerkennung erwartet. Dennoch sehr sehenswert. / Berry
