Robyn spricht über Verluste und Depressionen im „Out“-Interview

Die schwedische Hit-Fee Robyn ziert das Oktober-Cover des Out Magazins und erzählt in dem Interview über einen Tiefpunkt in ihrem Leben und neuen Erkenntnissen. Vor allem geht um die acht Jahre, in denen Robyn kaum Musik gemacht hat bzw. kein eigenes Album veröffentlicht hat. 

Bei Robyn ist nichts typisch und so auch nicht der Grund, warum sie in acht Jahren kein neues Album veröffentlicht hat. Es lag nicht an einem Streit mit der Plattenfirma oder Probleme mit dem Management, wie es sonst gerne der Fall bei Musikern ist. Nein, Robyn befand sich in einer persönlichen Krise. Einer Lebenskrise: „Wenn du mich gefragt hättest: „Wirst du ein weiteres Album machen?“ Hätte ich nicht antworten können“, sagt Robyn in der aktuellen Ausgabe des Out Magazins. 

Die achtjährige Lücke in ihrer Karriere

Sie spricht über die achtjährige Lücke zwischen ihrem letzten Album und dem nun im Oktober kommendem Werk: „Alles hat sich für mich aufgelöst…Ich hatte es mit einer Lebenskrise zu tun“ sagt sie. „Ich war in Therapie und eine Freundin von mir war verstorben. Ich war an keinem stabilen Punkt meines Lebens. Ich war sehr leer und unfähig, mich selbst in Form zu halten“, erklärt sie. 

Das neue Album „Honey“ kommt nun am 26. Oktober und Robyn plant eine große Tour für 2019: „Ich habe gelernt, wie viele Emotionen du an einem Tag haben kannst und wie du sie steuern und mit ihnen in Kontakt bleiben kannst, ohne dass sie etwas für dich kontrollieren oder ruinieren“, sagt sie über die Entstehung des Albums. „Es geht darum, dass Dinge in Ordnung sind, manchmal sehr instabil und undefinierbar. Es ist sehr mysteriös. Wir denken, wir haben die Kontrolle, aber wir haben sie in Wirklichkeit nicht. Niemand weiß wirklich, warum wir hier sind. Das war die große neue Perspektive für mich und genau so ist es, ein menschliches Wesen zu sein.“
