Shirin David ist unaufhaltsam auf der Überholspur und feiert krasse Erfolge, vor allem musikalisch. Ihre neue Single „Lieben wir“ ist heute erschienen und ich habe mich gefragt, wie findet die LGBTQ+-Community die Frau David eigentlich?

2017 wurde Shirin David hart dafür kritisiert, dass sie mit Mert Eksi zusammen arbeitete. Der „Rapper“ gilt als offen homophob, was viele seiner Videos belegen. So sagte er in einem Video: „Ich toleriere Schwule einfach nicht! Auf die Straße gehen 20 000 Leute, protestieren gegen eine Moschee in Deutschland. Aber wenn man einmal was gegen Schwule sagt, wird man gef****!“. Für Shirin hagelte es deshalb Kritik aufgrund der Zusammenarbeit.

Seitdem ist viel passiert. Heute distanziert sie sich von solchen Kümstlern und sagte erst kürzlich, dass sie mit bestimmten Menschen nicht zusammenarbeiten könnte, weil deren Einstellungen zu anderen Menschengruppen problematisch sei. Auch zur UEFA Entscheidung gegen ein Regenbogenstadion machte Shirin einen Post in dem sie schrieb: „wusste nicht das menschenrechte politik sind“.

Fakt ist, Shirin David hat eine große LGBTQ+-Fanbase. Viele Männern aus der Szene feiern sie für ihre Musik und ihren Style. Manch eine Dragqueens sammelte die ersten Schmink-Tipps aus einem ihrer YouTube-Tutorials usw. Doch da ist auch die andere Seite, die Shirin immer noch fragwürdig findet und ihr vorwirft, die LGBTQ+-Community kalkuliert für ihr Wachstum zu nutzen.

Ist Shirin ein LGBTQ+-Ally?

Man muss Shirin David lassen, dass sie Einfluss hat. Alles was Shirin David sagt, geht viral. Ihre Single „Ich darf das“ ist ein Hit und ging direkt an die Chartspitze der deutschen Singlecharts. Ihr dritter Nummer-Eins-Hit nach „Gib Ihm“ und „90–60–111“ in Deutschland. Mit „Lieben wir“ läutet Shirin ihr zweites Album mit dem Namen „Bitches brauchen Rap“ (BBR) ein, das am 3. September erscheinen wird. Und damit nicht genug. Ein Unboxing wird in der nächsten Zeit folgen. Mit einem spannenden Twist möchte Shirin David sich bei ihren Fans für deren Unterstützung bedanken: Eins der Poster in allen Boxen ist unterschrieben und enthält ein exklusives Treffen mit Shirin.

Sie betont immer wieder, dass die Fans es sind, die ihr zu diesem Erfolg verholfen haben. Sie hat als YouTuberin angefangen und mischt nun die Musikwelt in Deutschland auf. „Lieben wir“ wurde bereits vor der Veröffentlichung als Snippet von vielen schwulen-, bi- und transsexuellen TikTokern verwendet und gefeiert.
