Janet Jackson legt mit 52 energiegeladene Show für Menschenrechte hin!

In New York fand gestern Nacht das Global Citizen Festival 2018 statt. Im Central Park performten Künstler wie John Legend, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monae, Cardi B und Janet Jackson gegen Armut und für Menschenrechte. Besonders Janet Jackson begeisterte mit einer einstündigen Powershow voller Hits. 

Mit ihren 52 Jahren braucht sich Janet Jackson in Sachen Performance nicht zu verstecken. Sie tanzt – wie kaum eine andere ihrer Kolleginnen – und singt sich live locker durch ihre einstündige  Show. Dabei durften sich Fans auf viele legendäre Tanzeinlagen freuen und zudem gab es extrem viele Hits. Die Show ist voll gepackt mit Medleys, die teilweise 15 – 20 Minuten Musik am Stück beinhalten. Da kam sicherlich kein Fan zu kurz.

Gegen Armut und für Menschenrechte

Überraschungen gab es in Form der Opener Songs, die Janet komplett alleine performte. Erst zum dritten Song füllt sich das Bühnenbild mit diversen Tänzern und Tanzeinlagen. Auch seltene Songs wie „You Ain´t Right“, die keine Single war, waren Teil der Show und überraschten die Fans. Janet unterbrach ihre Show nach ihrem gemeinsamen Song „Scream“ mit ihrem Bruder Michael Jackson, um eine Botschaft gegen Gewalt und Missbrauch von Frauen loszuwerden. 

Auch Schauspieler wie Hugh Jackman und Forest Whitaker sowie Vertreter von Regierungen, den Vereinten Nationen und Hilfsorganisationen waren Teil der achtstündigen Veranstaltung. Zudem war die Art und Weise, wie man an die begehrten Tickets kommt, besonders. Fans musste im Internet Texte, Fotos und Videos über den globalen Kampf gegen Armut lesen und weiterverbreiten. Nur so konnte man die kostenlosen Tickets gewinnen.

Am 02. Dezember 2018 findet übrigens das „Global Citizen Festival Mandela 100“ in Johannesburg statt. Mit dabei sind Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Cassper Nyovest, D’Banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Pharrell Williams & Chris Martin, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher und Wizkid.
