Katy Perry veröffentlicht mit „Smile“ ihr fünftes Studioalbum nur wenige Tage, nachdem sie Mutter geworden ist. Ob sie auf „Smile“ auch erwachsener klingt und die Platte den Fluch von „Witness“ beenden kann, sage ich euch meiner Review.

Katy Perry hatte es in den letzten Jahren wirklich nicht leicht. Ihr Album „Witness“ wurde zerrissen und auf Twitter & Co. von Hatern als „Hitless“ verspottet. Katy litt unter Depressionen und musste viel Kritik, Spott und Parolen auf das Ende ihrer Karriere ertragen. Das hielt sie aber nicht davon ab, im Auge der Öffentlichkeit zu bleiben. Nicht nur als Juror bei American Idol, auch musikalisch war Perry nie wirklich weg.

10 Jahre nach „Teenage Dream“

Soviel Kritik und Druck verändert Menschen. Vor 10 Jahren erschien ihr heute legendäres Album „Teenage Dream“ und Katy Perry war mit diesem und dem darauf folgendem Album „Prism“ auf dem Zenit ihrer Karriere. Kommerziell gesehen.
