Dank Sarah Connor war die Bambi-Eröffnung ein LGBTQ+ Statement!

Eigentlich ist es nur eine Regenbogenflagge. Doch in Verbindung mit dem Song „Vincent“, der Geschichte dahinter und der Tatsache, dass wir uns hier beim Bambi befinden, entfaltet Sarah Connors Auftritt eine große Symbolik gegen Homophobie.

Popstar Sarah Connor wurde in der Kategorie „Musik national“ ausgezeichnet und erhielt damit den ersten Bambi ihrer gut 20-jährigen Erfolgskarriere. Die Laudatio hielt Rea Garvey. In seiner sehr emotionalen Lobeshymne bezeichnete er Sarah Connor als „Deutschlands beste Sängerin aller Zeiten“.

Sarah Connor hatte sich 2015 dazu entschieden, in deutscher Sprache zu singen und mit den beiden dann folgenden Alben „Muttersprache“ und „Herz Kraft Werke“ jeweils die Spitze der Charts erreicht. Sie eröffnete auch die diesjährige Bambi-Gala gemeinsam mit einem 28-köpfigen Gospel-Chor mit ihrem Song „Vincent“ in einer spektakulären Bühnenperformance und erhielt dafür langanhaltende Standing Ovations vom Publikum.

Die Bambi Verleihung war am vergangenem Donnerstag. Der Clip wurde erst am Freitag auf YouTube hochgeladen. Somit bin ich hier etwas spät dran mit meinem Post, aber es ist dennoch ein Feature wert. Hier gibt es den bewegenden Auftritt in voller Länge. / Berry
