Cher veröffentlicht Musikvideo zum Charity-Song „Chiquitita“!

Am Samstag feierte Cher die Premiere des Musikvideos zu ihrer Charity-Single „Chiquitita“. Die Einnahmen des Songs werden komplett an UNICEF gespendet.

Cher kündigte in den letzten Wochen schon an, dass sie an einem Song arbeitet. Nun ist er da und es handelt sich dabei um eine spanische Version des ABBA Songs „Chiquitita“. Cher hat sich verpflichtet, alle Gewinne aus dem Song an UNICEF zu spenden, ähnlich wie es ABBA beim „Music for UNICEF“-Konzert 1979 getan haben.

„Ich bin so stolz darauf, diese neue Version während der Ausstrahlung von UNICEF Won’t Stop zu veröffentlichen“, sagte Cher vor der Premiere, wie der Hollywood Reporter berichtet. „Ich habe UNICEF seit langem bewundert, besonders für ihre Arbeit mit jungen Frauen, seit ich ein kleines Mädchen war. Jetzt ist es mehr denn je wichtig, dass wir jedem Kind auf der ganzen Welt Priorität einräumen, als ob es unser eigenes wäre.“
