Die Grammys sind die höchste Auszeichnung, die man als Musiker bekommen kann. Dementsprechend nennt sich das Event auch „Music´s Biggest Night“ und so war es auch wieder dieses Jahr. Alle Highlights des Abends habe ich dir hier kurz und bündig in 11 GIFs verpackt.
Adele war mit fünf Grammys die Gewinnerin des Abends. Den Moment des Abends lieferte sie, als sie den Preis für das „Album des Jahres“ Beyoncé und ihrem „Lemonade“-Album widmete. Die ganze Rede, kannst du dir hier ansehen.
Noch schöner war sicherlich die hochschwangere und sichtlich gerührte Beyoncé.
Diese legte auch einen der beeindruckendsten Auftritte des Abends hin und performte ihre „Lemonade“-Titel „Lovedrought“ und „Sandcastles“, während sie die Gesetzte der Schwerkraft lahmlegte. Warum, naja weil…Beyoncé eben!
Ach ja, und eine der wichtigsten Reden des Abends kam ebenfalls von Beyoncé, in der sie auf Rassenkonflikte und Diskrimierung (mit dezentem Finger auf Donald Trump gerichtet) aufmerksam machte.
Ok Beyoncé, wir haben es verstanden:
Wer nun vor Rührung ganz feuchte Augen hatte, dem wurden die Tränen und wahrscheinlich alle Wimpern von Metallica und Lady Gaga weggebrannt. Trotz Mikrofon-Panne rockte Gaga (sichtlicher Metallica Fan) die Bühne!
Kommen wir zu den Tributes des Abends. Bruno Mars ehrte den verstorbenen Prince und setzte jegliche vorherige Tribute (z.B. von Madonna im letzten Jahr) in den Schatten.
Adele musste übrigens ihr Tribute an George Michael abbrechen und neu Ansetzten. Den Auftritt kannst du dir hier ansehen.
Ein gelungenes „Bee Gees“-Tribute lieferten Demi Lovato, Tori Kelly und Little Big Town ab.
Katy Perry präsentierte zum ersten Mal ihre neue Single „Chained To The Rhythm“ im TV und legte eine innovative Performance hin, bei der ihr das Häuschen richtig um die Ohren flog. Trotzdem zündete der Auftritt nicht so ganz.
Auch von Late-Night-Star James Corden als Moderator hätte man sich etwas mehr erhoffen können. Was in seiner eigenen Sendung super funktioniert, wirkte bei den Grammys etwas erzwungen. Trotzdem charmant!
