Peter Plate und Ulf Leo Sommer kennen viele als Teil von Rosenstolz. Doch diese beiden Herren sind für einen großen Teil deutscher Popmusik-Geschichte verantwortlich. Was Viele nicht wissen, ist die Tatsache, dass sie u.a. hinter den zwei enorm erfolgreichen deutschprachigen Sarah Connor Alben stecken. Nun bringen sie mit „Ku’damm 56“ ihr erstes Musical auf die Bühne.

In der heutigen Hollywood Tramp Podcast Folge begrüßen mein Co-Host René und ich die beiden Musik-Ikonen Peter Plate und Ulf Leo Sommer. Mit Rosenstolz und dem Song „Liebe ist alles“ schafften sie 2004 den Durchbruch. In den letzten Jahren haben Peter und Ulf aber hauptsächlich hinter den Kulissen gearbeitet. Von Helene Fischer über Melanie C, Jasmin Wagner, Marcella Rockefeller bis hin zu Sarah Connor, die mit „Muttersprache“ und „Herz Kraft Werke“ ein grandioses Comeback hinlegte.

Das erste Musical startet noch dieses Jahr!

Ihr neustes Projekt ist das Musical „Ku’damm 56“, das am 28. November 2021 im Berliner Stage Theater des Westens Premiere feiern wird. Musikalisch und textlich meisterhaft-sensibel, witzig-frech und einnehmend gefühlvoll von Peter Plate und Ulf-Leo Sommer in Szene gesetzt. Im Podcast sprechen wir nicht nur über die Musiklandschaft und warum es den Beiden wichtig ist queere Acts zu pushen. Sie erklären auch, warum mit Sarah eine art familiäre Hass-Liebe im Studio herrscht. Zudem verraten uns Peter und Ulf, wieso sie maßgeblich an dem No Angels Hit „Daylight In Your Eyes“ beteiligt waren und wieso der Song skandalbehaftet war.
